Damn, I hate the era I got born on. Why couldn't it have been several thousand years in the future.
Pretty sweet pic

Definitely worth a closer look. I am smiling, as I was supposed to be doing my homework, and I would actually rather look through your gallery. LOL. I love the stones, and the footsteps leading from them to the opening in the canyon flanked by the golden structures.

I can see why you deleted the broken moon. Too many hits! :XD: Very nice. I like this version best!

How you did this big crack on far planet? Also in Vue?

Thanks!
Yes, the crack was done in Vue. Basically, I did the following:
1- created a sphere and mapped a moon map into it
2- duplicated the sphere
3- created a simple terrain and put it where I wanted the crack to be
4- duplicated the terrain
5- with one pair of sphere+terrain I made a boolean intersection
6- with the other pair I made a boolean difference
7- then I separated the two booleans a little bit and there was the crack

Simple, just a few minutes work! :)

I like the terrain :) And the moon reminds me of The Time Machine, as it appears in the post-cataclysm world :omg:

Thanks!
Yes, I remember that movie. There are some differences but I agree that it's basically the same concept. In the movie there were several pieces (more than 2) and there was no ring. Anyway, if you google for "broken moon" you'll find millions of hits, so it's definitely not an original concept, not even in what the movie is concerned. :)
