Realism is not a concern for me. Normally, in all my pictures, realism is not a concern, it's just a consequence of the way I work.
For me, beauty is my main priority (even if that means less realism, I don't care). My second priority is imagination (even if that means less realism also). And then, in third place, comes realism. If I must sacrifice realism to obtain beauty and imagination, I will.
Obtaining realism in Vue is fairly easy for whoever has a certain practice, as I do. I don't have to do much effort to obtain a realistic environment. Sometimes, it's even the other way around: if I want to obtain a non-realistic detail (such as the details you correctly pinpointed), I have to cheat a little bit.
