It's like the mini-planets from Ratchet & Clank! :D I love the cute little clouds and what appears to be a planetwide rail system. And the background of stars and the nebula looks just awesome. Lovely work!

Just beautiful. My brain says that if I'm far enough away from the planet to see the curve, the clouds should all appear to be at the same altitude... but that's for regular-scale planets, of course (and assuming that air pressure varies according to gravity as it does in our universe). I like this sort of idea, and this is well visualised.

I'm always thrilled to learn what kind of thoughts and emotions my images trigger in other people.
Thanks for that!

... wow, this is beautiful. The detail is absolutely impeccable. Some of these renders you have in your gallery are great but this is definitely a favorite of mine. From the clouds, to the stars, to the leaves on the trees and the rocky surfaces of mountains. The detail is wonderful and the feeling that this image gives you is great. You've really created an inviting world of your own.

Oh! so your'e the person who did this. I remember seeing it ages ago when the planet features was just being promoted :D I heard planets are really hard to get right but I see lots of small planets like this done pretty well...though I have to do them the sucker way and model them from scratch :XD:

Coolness. Don't land any metal there. I hear Microworlds are much like Microwaves and they explode in contact with tinfoil!

I think the clouds look a little weird, but the rest looks great. How did you deform the giant beams?

what`s wrong with the clouds ? it`s a view from above and they`re not very dense but i think they`re just fine.

great job man!

I found them a little too opaque and their illumination a little incoherent with the rest of the scene.

that`s because they`re dense :D. anyway i don`t want to argue now but i still think there is no problem with them...

Thanks. :)
I'm not sure what you mean by "beams" but if you're referring to the metallic arch-like structures, they're simply two torus shapes, that go around the world.
